Private In-Home Occupational Therapy · Los Angeles

Exceptional rehabilitation,
in the comfort of home.

Expert, one-on-one occupational therapy brought to your home by a Cedars-Sinai clinician with more than fifteen years of experience — with the discretion, continuity, and attention you expect.

Beverly Hills · Bel Air · West Hollywood · Hancock Park · Studio City

For more than fifteen years I have helped people recover strength, movement, and independence — first at the bedside in one of Los Angeles' finest hospitals, and now privately, in my clients' own homes.

My work is deeply personal. Healing does not happen in fifteen-minute visits or one-size-fits-all protocols — it happens when someone truly listens, understands your story, and designs care around the life you want to return to. Recovery is physical, but it is also profoundly human. So many of the people I work with are facing one of the hardest chapters of their lives, and what they need alongside skilled care is simple: to feel seen, heard, and never alone in it.

Increasingly, my clients want more than therapy alone — so my practice is growing into a more integrative one, where I can also help coordinate the trusted specialists they need. But it always begins with the same thing: expert, personal care from me.

— Karina Fakheri, MS, OTR/L

“People heal faster when they feel truly seen. Before anything else, I listen — because knowing someone is genuinely in your corner is where recovery begins.”

About Karina

Fifteen years of hospital-caliber care, now brought home.

Karina Fakheri is a licensed occupational therapist who has spent her career at the forefront of neurological rehabilitation. She began at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in 2007, working in inpatient rehabilitation with individuals recovering from stroke, brain injury, and neurodegenerative conditions — and she continues to practice there today in the neurological outpatient and neuromuscular disorders clinic.

Alongside her hospital work, Karina provides private, in-home therapy to a select group of clients across Los Angeles. Her approach is holistic and unhurried, treating not only physical limitations but the whole person — restoring balance, function, and the confidence to live fully.

My Approach

Care that begins with truly knowing you

Traditional healthcare too often offers quick, temporary fixes. I believe real healing begins by connecting with you personally — understanding your goals, your home, and the life you want to reclaim.

Working one-on-one and without the constraints of a busy clinic, I design each plan around what matters most to you. Care should never feel transactional. What matters most to me is that the people I work with feel genuinely seen and heard — cared for as whole people, not cases on a schedule — because that human connection is part of what helps us heal.

Frequently asked

What is a private, in-home occupational therapist?

A private occupational therapist provides one-on-one rehabilitation and wellness care in the comfort and privacy of your own home, rather than in a clinic. I bring the specialized, hospital-caliber therapy of a rehabilitation center directly to you — with the discretion, scheduling flexibility, and personal attention that a private setting allows.

What areas of Los Angeles do you serve?

I provide in-home occupational therapy throughout the Los Angeles Westside and central neighborhoods, including Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Holmby Hills, West Hollywood, Hancock Park, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, and Studio City.

What conditions do you treat?

I specialize in neurological rehabilitation — stroke, brain injury, Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, and other neurodegenerative conditions — as well as post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, myofascial restrictions, balance and fall prevention, and safe aging in place.

What are your certifications and training?

I hold a Master's in Occupational Therapy from Ithaca College and have practiced at Cedars-Sinai for more than fifteen years. I am Neuro-IFRAH certified, trained in neuro-vision retraining, and certified in John F. Barnes Myofascial Release.

Do you offer discreet care for high-profile clients?
